On 14/06/12, salesforce.com hosted their annual Cloudforce conference in Sydney, which was held at Sydney Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour.
After long nights of preparation, and an attendance list of around 5,700 people, salesforce.com’s Cloudforce was bringing insight of innovation to Sydney! And it was a stunning day in Sydney!
Hosting the media room was great fun. Great hot chocolate (perks) and liaising with some of the best in Australian journalism. Including Daniel Hatch (The West Australian), and Patrick Budmar (ARN), along with other great talents who attended conferences, breakout sessions and conducted a series of one-on-ones.
We started the day at 7am for prep, and ended at 1030pm with drinks at The Loft, Cockle Bay Wharf. I learned a heap in the keynote speech, about the future of innovation through cloud computing, the benefits of social business tools like salesforce.com’s Chatter and Rypple. Parker Harris was quick witted, while hosting with flair and pizzazz. Salesforce.com showcased customers like Spotify and Vodafore. My favourite guest speaker was definitely Andy Lark from the Commonwealth Bank. He really presented the benefits of cloud with real humble praise for salesforce.com’s platforms.
Only being in the industry for 7 months makes all events and campaigns very exciting, but honestly, this event was better than most. The buzz was phenomenal and the positivity that came out of it was unreal.
Both Gareth and Katy were tremendous throughout the day and deserve all the praise that was received and more, for hosting such a grand event. I’m honored to be working with such a great client and alongside such bright, yet down-to-earth people.
Can’t wait for salesforce.com’s Dreamforce! Yieww!
