Las Vegas.
Las Vegas was a very special place. I believe that it is best described as an adult playground. It’s a place where drinking on the street, half naked men and women and living on no sleep is common practice.
It was especially special because it was my 21st birthday…IN LAS VEGAS!! Yiewwww!
Finally I was re-united with Jane, a close friend who I went to high-school with and had not seen in two and a half years. I missed her very much so it was so great to catch up and learn all about what she had made of herself while living in New York.
We stayed at the Monte Carlo. The hotel was nice; we had views of the strip and a nice pool.
Two dilemmas of the trip so far: Firstly, my GHD didn’t work in the USA. Something to do with voltage differences. I don’t know, but either way…DILEMMA! Secondly, there was no Wi-Fi in our hotel room. Unbelievable.
To combat the first dilemma I insisted we went to the Premium Factory Outlets on day one. So after a stroll of the strip, Jane and I got our shop on. Amazing outlets. So cheap and so much great stock. I truly rate these outlets.
It was my 21st birthday so we decided to have a nice dinner at Tao restaurant at the Venetian. I ate shrimp. It was DELISH. We decided to party up at Tao that night too, but the nightclub. Great club, great music. A spectacular way to spend my 21st birthday.
Arriving back to the hotel at 5am, a few hours of sleep and off for a big day of partying.
We checked out Rehab Pool Party at the Hard Rock Hotel. So picture a pool, blaring music, drinks, beach balls, water-slides and of course blackjack IN THE POOL. It was crazy.
Leaving the pool party starving, we decided to go for a delicious lunch at the Bellagio. The buffet at the Bellagio is amazing. We ate so much, then ate some more, then ate dessert. Mm. One of the most memorable meals of the trip.
We started the night of partying at Marquee at the Cosmopolitan. Great club. Especially the hip-hop room. Bam, YMCMB all up in that place. Loved it. We then went down to Paris and checked out Chateau. That was a much smaller club but still lovely. I met Snoop Doggs cousin, with whom I went to Drei’s Afterhours. This club opens at 2am and it’s what I would call a real underground hip-hop club. True popping and locking going on in there!
Arriving home at 5am and waking up at 9am is standard in Vegas.
We spent our final night in Vegas at XS in The Encore. XS is a night pool party. The music was a little doof doof, but hey, the pool was COOL!
Our last day in Vegas was spent at the PFO’s again. They were too amazing not to visit one last time. We ate at the most wow sushi buffet: Makino Gourmet Sushi and Seafood Buffet.
That night we made our way to LAS, where we were in for what felt like the longest flight of the trip, all the way to NYC!
